On April 13-14 a closed conference on "The Problems of Periodization of the Armenian History" was held at YSU Academic hall. On March 6, an event devoted to the memory of professor Petros Hovhannisyan, as well as the presentation of the 7th volume of the “Works” by Nikoghayos Adonts took place at YSU 6th building hall. Colleagues, family members and students of former head of chair of the Armenian History came to pay a tribute to the memory of the professor....

On November 22, in the Faculty of Physics of Yerevan State University a presentation dedicated to the 20th issue of “Vardanank” military-patriotic periodical was held in the auditorium named after the national hero “Leonid Azgaldyan”. It is noteworthy that the periodical has been publishing for a year and a half at YSU. On this occasion, the editor of the periodical, Hovhannes Vardanyan spoke about objective of this periodical. According to him, the objective of “Vardanank” military-patriotic periodical is to present the activities of “Vardanank” military-patriotic club, as well the freedom fighters of the university, the path of today’s heroes, military heroism, the absolute devotion to the homeland, and to contribute in the further strengthening of army-society relations....

On October 15-16, 2015, a scientific conference on “The Armenian Genocide-100: from Recognition to Reparation” dedicated to the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide was held in NAS RA. The main topic of the discussion was the publicity of the facts, documents and legal and historical issues related to the Armenian Genocide, as well as the elimination of consequences, reparation and political and legal issues....

On February 24, on the eve of the 150th anniversary of Commander Andranik, academic session on “The eternal life and activities of the Armenian Commander” took place, which was organized by YSU faculty of History.  First deputy mayor of Yerevan Kamo Areyan, YSU vice-rector Ruben Markosyan, Head of the Institute of History NAS RA Ashot Melkonyan, faculty deans, lecturers, students of YSU were present at the session.  The report of the Dean of the Faculty of History, doctor in historical sciences, professor Edik Minasyan was on the life and struggle of the Commander....

The 5th session of the State Commission on Coordination of the events for the commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide took place on January 29, 2015. The session was held by RA president Serzh Sargsyan. After the session RA president Serzh Sargsyan in company with the commission members and the participants of the enlarged session, visited the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex, laid a wreath at the Memorial to the Victims of the Armenian Genicde  and paid tribute to the memories of the innocent victims....
